Nominations open for 2019 Environmental Sustainability Awards
The Town of Orangeville has opened nominations for the 2019 Environmental Sustainability Awards, sponsored for the tenth year by the Orangeville Sustainability Advisory Committee (OSAC). The Environmental Sustainability Awards are presented by Orangeville Council on an annual basis to recognize those who have made a positive contribution to the environmental health of the community.
“Orangeville’s reputation as an environmental leader is growing – thanks in large part to the citizens and businesses that continue to emphasize sustainable solutions and green practices. It’s important for these stories to be told, and for these leaders to be recognized,” says Councillor Grant Peters of the Orangeville Sustainability Advisory Committee.
The Orangeville Sustainability Advisory Committee (OSAC) invites nominations for this year’s Environmental Sustainability Awards. Nominations are open to any Orangeville resident, youth, business and/or group who have made positive contribution(s) to our natural environment and/or are leaders in environmental practices.
Nominations -- for an individual, youth, business or group – can be submitted online from the Town’s website or printed versions of the form can be obtained at the customer service counters at Town Hall (87 Broadway) or Alder Recreation Centre (275 Alder Street) and submitted at either location, or sent via email to [email protected] by 4 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019.
