2025 Accessibility Champions Award
The Accessibility Champions award program recognizes individuals, local businesses, or community groups who have demonstrated a passion for making the community more accessible by continually going above and beyond to achieve this goal.
This year’s award recipients are:
Inclusive Perspectives, Local Business recipient
Inclusive Perspectives strives to create a safe play space for children and youth with diverse abilities and their families to enjoy and connect with others, while providing the necessary tools that they may need during their visit. This indoor sensory gym stands out as a safe, welcoming and adaptive facility, embracing inclusivity. Located at 150 First St., Unit 113 in Orangeville.
Vivian Petho, Individual recipient
Vivian has spear-headed and implemented "The Opportunity Garden" project which is a collaboration between The Orangeville Horticultural Society, Am Braigh Farms and Branching Out Support Services, and The Orangeville Foodbank. The neurodivergent adults who attend the service there are growing sprouts under the guidance and mentorship of Jamie Richards from Am Braigh Farms. The sprouts are then donated to the Orangeville Foodbank. Vivian has championed every aspect of this program.
