Community Grants Application

The Community Grants Program is designed to provide funding to assist with some of the many social, economic, and other benefits not-for-profit businesses and charitable organizations provide to the Orangeville Community. 

Following the application deadline, submissions will be reviewed by Town Staff and Headwaters Communities in Action (HCIA). A recommendation will be provided to Council and the recipients will be announced at the May 13, 2024 Council Meeting.

Organizations can only apply for funding once per year.

Application details

Please include the following information with your application:

  • financial statements from the previous year
  • proposed budget for the current year
  • amount of funds being requested
  • explanation of how funds will be spent
  • details of planned fundraising activities
  • list of executive members and contact information for the organization

Eligibility

To be eligible for funding, organizations must satisfy the following criteria:

  • there must be a social, economic or other benefit to the Town of Orangeville, its citizens and taxpayers
  • keep with any stated goals or objectives that have been set or endorsed by Council
  • application should focus on the benefits to the Orangeville community
  • if an organization has previously received funding, they must provide a record demonstrating the value to the community of the funding received
  • services must be available to citizens on an equal basis, even though they can be limited to segments of the community
  • organizations must demonstrate a reasonable effort to raise funds from other sources than the Town of Orangeville
  • must indicate if funds are being requested from other levels of government (county, provincial or federal)

If your organization is attending a competition or event, the Town of Orangeville can help you cover the expenses. Complete the Application for Sports and Cultural Events Funding and submit it to the Clerk by email or drop it off at Town Hall:

Application details

Please include the following information with your application:

  • name of applicant/organization
  • description of the event
  • date and location of the event
  • level of competition
  • estimated cost per participant
  • amount of funding requested
  • description of other fundraising activities
  • summary of accomplishments to date

Eligibility

This funding is only available to non-profit organizations or individuals.

Applicants must be participating in a provincial, national, or international competition or cultural event.
