OPP costing proposal received

Orangeville Council requested an OPP costing in December of 2015. Several Ontario communities have, in recent years, expressed an interest in obtaining an OPP costing to compare the costs and services provided by that service to municipal forces.

The Town of Orangeville received the OPP costing at the regular meeting of Orangeville Council on February 13, 2017.  At that meeting, Council requested the Orangeville Police Service to make a presentation to Council on April 3, 2017.

A final decision on policing will be made by Orangeville Council within six months.
