OPP costing to be presented to Council February 13

Feb 10, 2017 | Council | General

The next step in looking at policing for Orangeville is the presentation by Ontario Provincial Police on Monday, February 13, 2017 as Town Council receives the OPP costing proposal.

The presentation is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Council Chambers. The community is welcome to attend the presentation. While the Town will accommodate as many spectators as possible in Council Chambers, the overflow audience will be accommodated upstairs in the Orangeville Opera House to view a livestream broadcast by Rogers TV.

For those who wish to watch the proceedings from home the meeting is broadcast live on Rogers TV channel 63 (for subscribers) or via Rogers TV website, as is the usual practice for meetings of Orangeville Council.

The purpose of the February 13th meeting is for the OPP to present to Council and future public meetings may be held to respond to questions from the community.

Members of the public wishing to ask questions or express comments about the proposal can email [email protected]. The Town respectfully asks that all emails pertaining to this subject include the writer’s name and contact information.
