The Town of Orangeville is advising residents of modified hours for offices and non-emergency services over the Canada Day Long Weekend.

Town Offices and Operations Centre

• Saturday, July 1 - Closed
• Sunday, July 2 - Closed
• Monday, July 3 - Closed

Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre

• Saturday, July 1 - Open 4 to 11 p.m. for Jr. A tournament only.

Celebrate Canada Day 2023 with the Town of Orangeville

The Town of Orangeville invites the community to take part in Canada Day celebrations on July 1. The festivities’ family-friendly events include activities for all ages, entertainment, a concert, and fireworks.

Orangeville’s Canada Day event will take place at the Alder Recreation Centre from 12 to 5 p.m. and will wrap up with evening activities at Island Lake Conservation Area.

This means that fires are likely to be self-extinguishing and new ignitions caused by temperatures outside are unlikely. The Town of Orangeville has announced the community splash pads will open for the 2023 season beginning at 10 a.m. on June 2.

Located at Fendley Park and Harvey Curry Park, these amenities provide a great way for residents and their children to have fun while keeping cool.

The splash pads will be open daily from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. until approximately early September, weather-permitting.

Recently, the Town of Orangeville and the County of Dufferin have been working to develop a Memorandum of Understanding to formalize use of lands at the Edelbrock Centre (30 Centre Street, Orangeville) for a new Orangeville Transit Hub.
