Parks & Trails
The Town of Orangeville has much to offer in parks, trails and open space.
The 35-park system includes ball diamonds, soccer fields, accessible play apparatus for all ages, an outdoor skateboard park, BMX park, outdoor sports pad, two splash pads, four outdoor ice rinks (weather permitting) and other amenities such as picnic shelters, washrooms and tables. Please contact [email protected] for information about parks and sports field rentals or visit Recreation Facility Rentals.
The Parks Master Plan is intended to direct the delivery of parks and related services. The Parks Master Plan provides direction for a balanced service delivery and mix of outdoor recreation opportunities. Council has directed that staff consider implementation of the recommendations in future planning and development of Parks and Recreation Programs.
The final Orangeville Cycling and Trails Master Plan (OCTMP) was completed by Dillon Consulting in 2019. The OCTMP addresses the need for a comprehensive approach to cycling and trails planning and development throughout the Town, and provides a framework for future decision-making. It serves as a long term planning tool to guide the development of new trails and open space linkages.
The Town of Orangeville currently has over twenty kilometres of multi-surface trails and the trails system links to the Island Lake Conservation Area.
