Lane Closure near Town Hall

Work has started today on the replacement of stairs with an accessible ramp at the Town Hall Opera House to improve access to the Theatre Orangeville box office. The right turn lane has been closed but right turns can be made from the through lane on Broadway onto Second Street. Pedestrians are asked to re-route behind Town Hall and use the laneway and head west to access Broadway or use the cross walk at Broadway and Second Street. The project is expected to be completed by mid-May.

Starting on May 2, 2022, candidates can file nominations for the October 24, 2022 municipal election. Nominations may be filed in person at the Town of Orangeville Clerk’s Office at 87 Broadway. The prescribed nomination form must be accompanied by the filing fee ($200 for Mayor or $100 for all other offices).

Road Closure - Centennial Road and Tideman Drive

UPDATE: 

The intersection at Centennial Road and Tideman Drive has been re-opened. Orangeville Fire and Enbridge were able to secure the safety of the area after a gas main was disrupted.

 

ROAD CLOSURE - April 22, 2022: A gas main has been struck at Centennial Road and Tideman Drive. Orangeville Fire has responded and evacuated employees from Quality Cheese Inc. at 40 Centennial Road. Enbridge is responding. Orangeville Transit’s blue bus route will be re-routed around area.

Water Pollution Control Plant cleaning begins April 25

Contractors will be working at the Town of Orangeville’s water pollution control plant starting April 25 and going into early May. The project involves cleaning and removing biosolids from a digester. The biosolids will be disposed of at an approved facility.

Clean-out activities will be conducted Monday to Thursday between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Friday between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. No excessive noise is permitted until 7 a.m. each day.
