With advice from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph (WDG) Public Health and for the safety of our residents, businesses and employees, Orangeville Town Hall and all other Town facilities will remain closed until further notice to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.



Many services are still available and Town staff continue to be available to assist our residents and businesses. The public can still interact via phone with Town staff during regular business hours at 519-941-0440 and press 0 or by email at [email protected]. Residents are encouraged as much as possible to complete services online at orangeville.ca. A drop box remains available at Town Hall and is checked regularly.



Closures include:



Buildings - All Town buildings and facilities, including Town Hall, both Recreation Centres, both branches of Orangeville Public Library, Visitor Information Centre, and the satellite office at 200 Lakeview Court.



Events - All Town-run events and events scheduled at Town facilities are cancelled until further notice.



Recreational programs - All recreation programming and facility rentals are cancelled until further notice. Credits will automatically be placed on accounts for the Winter II program session. Refunds were issued for March Break camps as well as Aquatic Leadership courses and general interest courses that had not yet begun. Please contact [email protected] for more information.



Other facility closures












  • Playgrounds including play structures, swings, teeter-totters, benches, slides and climbers
  • Skateparks closed to skateboards, scooters, BMX bikes, in-line skates, roller blades
  • Playfields including soccer fields, softball fields, baseball fields and football fields
  • Multi- purpose paved courts including basketball, tennis and ball hockey pads
  • Dog park
  • Splash pad areas
  • Tennis courts
  • Pergolas, picnic shelters, shade structures, and picnic tables


Fines can be issued for non-compliance. Ignoring the closures becomes a violation under the Trespass to Property Act.



The Town of Orangeville takes COVID-19 seriously and continues to follow the advice of provincial and federal health officials.
