Town of Orangeville's Transit Hub

The Town of Orangeville’s new Transit Hub, located behind 30 Centre Street, is complete and will launch operations on October 2, Route changes have been made to utilize the Transit Hub on this date, which will create safer, more efficient rider experiences.

The 4th Street location will no longer be used for route changes; however, Orangeville Transit’s ‘Orange Route’ will continue to service the 4th Street stop.

“We're working hard to continuously enhance transit in Orangeville,” said Tony Dulisse, Manager of Transportation and Development. “Along with the new Transit Hub, we recently completed a transit optimization study that, once implemented, will lead to all residents being within 400 metres of a bus stop once, servicing 98% of Orangeville’s population with public transit.”

Public transit in Orangeville is also free, thanks to the Fare-Free Transit pilot project.

Several other changes will come into play on October 2, including:

• A new stop will be located on the south side of Broadway before the intersection at Townline and Broadway.
• The current stop on Sherbourne Street will no longer be serviced.
• Slight alterations will be made to improve efficiency on transit routes.

A revised transit map and schedule can be found on the Town’s website at orangeville.ca/transit.
