The Government of Ontario has announced “A Framework for Reopening our Province: Stage 1”, which lists businesses and services that can resume service as of Tuesday, May 19. Libraries were included in this list for curbside pick-up.

The safety of staff and library members is the Town’s top priority. To follow provincial safety guidelines, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for the staff and detailed procedures need to be in place before the Orangeville Public Library can provide this service.

The library is actively finalizing its plan and sourcing supplies. The team is working toward offering this service at the Mill Street Library within the next two weeks.

As the library gets ready to launch curbside pick-up, feel free to search the online catalogue and place a hold. Library staff will call or email when items are ready for pick-up.

While both library locations will remain closed, the community is encouraged to explore all the services that the library offers. The digital collection includes eBooks, audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, and online courses with Mango Languages and Lynda.com. The library is also offering virtual programs for adults and children on the library’s YouTube channel.
