The Town of Orangeville is updating its corporate website orangeville.ca, as well as the Orangeville Public Library (OPL) and the Love, Orangeville tourism site, and is inviting the community to share their feedback. The survey only takes 10 minutes to complete, with participants having the opportunity to enter for a chance to win $100 gift card to an independent Orangeville business of their choice following completion.

Eligibility

To be eligible and enter to win, an entrant must, at the time of entry:

  • be a legal resident of the Province of Ontario
  • be at least 18 years of age or older (age of majority in Ontario); and
  • not be an employee of the Town of Orangeville

Complete the survey for a chance to win by Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

By answering a few survey questions and completing a few short tasks, the Town hopes to gain input from residents, business owners, visitors, community organizations, volunteers and other members of the Orangeville community to help create websites that make it easier to find the information, services and resources that matter most.

Contest rules and regulations

Contest period

The Prize Draw begins when the Survey opens and closes at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 (the “Contest Closing Date”). 

How to enter (no purchase necessary)

a. complete the survey in full, and

b. complete the entry form that appears after the Survey, providing:

  • their name, and
  • at least one of the following: email address and phone number (or both) and

c. submit the entry form before 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on March 31, 2026.

Important: People who complete the Survey, but do not complete the entry form (name and contact information) will not be entered in the Prize Draw.

Limit: One (1) entry per person. Duplicate entries will be disqualified at the Town’s discretion. 

Prize

There is one (1) prize available to be won:

• One (1) $100 gift card to an independently owned business located in Orangeville, selected by the winner (the “Prize”).

Prize conditions:

• The Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be converted to cash.
• The Prize is non-transferable and may not be sold.
• No substitution except the sole discretion of the Town of Orangeville.
• The Town of Orangeville and its associates make no representations and warranties (express or implied) regarding the Prize.
• Any costs not specifically stated as being included in the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Winner selection (random draw) 

After the Contest Closing Date, the Town will conduct a random draw from all eligible entries received.

• Draw timing: a winner will be selected by Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
• Draw method: all eligible entrant names will be entered into a random name generator to select one (1) potential winner.
• Record keeping: The Town will take a screenshot of the draw result and retain it on file for records for one year following the survey.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Winner notification, prize pick-up and claiming the prize

The selected entrant will be contacted using their preferred contact method (email and/or phone) during the week following the Survey closure.

To be declared the winner and claim the Prize, the selected entrant must respond to the Town’s notification and provide any required information reasonably requested by the Town to administer (e.g., confirming eligibility and arranging pick-up).

Prize pick-up: The Prize must be picked up by the winner at a Town of Orangeville office location that will be identified by the Town after the winner is confirmed. The winner may be required to present valid government-issued identification and/or other reasonable proof of eligibility to claim the Prize.

Claim period: If the Prize is not claimed within one (1) month of the Town’s first attempt to contact the selected entrant, the selected entrant may be disqualified (at the Town’s discretion), and the Town may conduct another random draw to select an alternate winner.

Privacy and use of information

Personal information collected for the Prize Draw (name and contact information) will be used by the Town only for the administration of the Prize Draw (e.g., contacting the winner and arranging Prize pick-up), unless otherwise permitted or required by law.

Where feasible, the Town will treat Survey responses and the Prize Draw contact information as separate datasets to help protect participant confidentiality. 

Platform/media disclaimer

The Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Orangeville Citizen, Country 105, Indie 101.5, or any other third-party platform or media outlet used to promote the Survey. 

General conditions

  • By entering, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the Town’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Prize Draw.
  • The Town reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these Official Rules or who tampers with the entry process.
  • The Town reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the Prize Draw if required for administrative, technical, or other reasons, subject to applicable law.
