Open house: Official Plan Review

Think about Orangeville’s future 30 years from now. How would it look to you?

We’re inviting you to share your thoughts at our open house for the Official Plan Review.

The Official Plan is Orangeville’s long-term vision and the legal framework for how our community grows and develops over time. We review it periodically to make sure it aligns with provincial and Dufferin County planning policies.

Official Plans act as a compass, guiding:

  • where new homes, jobs, shops and parks should go
  • the way our neighbourhoods grow and evolve
  • how transit, infrastructure (like water services) and community services need to develop
  • how to protect our environmental features, green space and public spaces

We’ll be presenting some of the completed background work to date.

Here’s some of the things we’d like to hear from you on:

  • what you think should be prioritized as we grow and change
  • what your favourite places in Orangeville are, and why
  • what we’re missing in the housing market
  • what could improve your quality of life
