Heather Savage has been appointed as the General Manager of Community ServicesMs. Heather Savage has been appointed as the General Manager of Community Services for the Town of Orangeville, effective February 6, 2023.


Ms. Savage has a long-standing career at the Town of Caledon. Currently serving as the Director of Community Services, she has also held positions as Manager of Recreation and Project Lead on the Pan Am Games. Her current role oversees Community and Corporate Facilities, Community Development and Parks Service with over 75 full-time staff and over 200 part-time staff. Ms. Savage is a part-time Professor at Humber College’s Recreation and Leisure Studies Program. Prior employment includes previous roles at the City of St. Catharines, City of Welland and County of Brant.


A long-time resident of Caledon East, Ms. Savage has had a lifelong career in the recreation sector, starting off with a role as a lifeguard. Her education includes a Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies, Graduate Diplomas in Adult Education and Teaching Effectiveness and a Masters Certificate in Municipal Leadership.

On behalf of the corporate team, Acting CAO and former General Manager of Community Services Raymond Osmond welcomed Ms. Savage to the Town of Orangeville. “We really look forward to working with Heather to continue the community services momentum in the delivery of key priorities in 2023 and beyond, “Osmond said.


As General Manager of Community Services, Ms. Savage will be responsible for all divisions within that community services department which includes Recreation and Events, Facilities and Parks, Economic Development and Culture, Orangeville Public Library and Orangeville Fire.
