As part of the Town of Orangeville’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Town is announcing a reduction in service hours at Town Hall and the restriction of public access to more municipal buildings.



Effective tomorrow morning:






  • Customer service hours at Town Hall at 87 Broadway will be reduced to 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • The Small Business Enterprise Centre, by-law officers, and the Divisions of Communication and Economic Development and Culture at 200 Lakeview Court will be closed to public access




  • The Operations Centre public desk will be closed to the public


While the in-person customer service hours are reduced, the public can still interact via phone with Town staff during regular business hours at 519-941-0440 and press 0 or by email at [email protected]. Residents are encouraged as much as possible to complete services online at orangeville.ca.



Visitors to the Town Hall are asked to self-screen before entering the building. Members of the public who are not feeling well and are exhibiting symptoms such as cough, fever and respiratory illness are asked not to visit municipal facilities and to stay at home and contact Telehealth or their family physician.



The Town closed recreation centres and libraries, the Orangeville and District Senior Citizens Centre, and the Town Hall Opera House on March 14, 2020, and are effective until April 6, 2020. That action resulted in the cancellation of March Break programs at some facilities. Refunds will be issued by the Town. Online materials including e-books and streaming materials can be accessed via the Orangeville Public Library website.



In addition, all Council and Committee meetings, public consultations and public gatherings are cancelled until April 6.
