Notice of complete application and public meeting for a Zoning bylaw amendment (file number RZ-2025-01)
The Town of Orangeville has received an application to amend the Town’s Zoning By-law (No. 22-90, as amended), pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act and will hold a public meeting on:
- Monday, June 23, 2025 at 7 p.m.
- Town Hall council chambers (87 Broadway)
Land subject to this application: This application is for the properties (subject lands) west of Blind Line and west of the residential area around Mason Street and Meyer Drive.
Purpose and effect of the application: To permit minor revisions to a draft-approved plan of the subdivision known as the Edgewood Valley Phase 2B Plan. Proposed changes will replace Future Residential Development - Block 55 on the draft-approved plan with:
- three new single detached lots
- 14 street townhouse/linked semi-detached dwellings and 17 dual frontage townhouse dwellings on a public cul-de-sac
- a parkette/trailhead block bordering Hansen Boulevard
Zoning bylaw amendment request: To rezone parts of the subject lands from Multiple Residential Medium Density (RM1) Special Provision 24.226 with Holding (H) Zone to:
- Open Space Recreation (OS1) Zone to permit the parkette/trailhead block
- Residential Fourth Density (R4) Special Provision 24.236 with Holding (H) Zone to permit the new single detached dwelling lots
