Humber Lands – Primacare Living Solutions – Council heard a presentation by Matthew Melchior of Primacare Living Solutions with respect to a campus of care senior residences that would provide a continuum of care. A potential location for such a facility could be on the Humber Lands. Mr. Melchior requested to purchase the Humber Lands from the Town of Orangeville. Council referred the item to staff for review, comment and recommendations.

Men’s Homelessness Committee – Council amended the terms of reference for the Men’s Homelessness Committee to increase the number of citizen appointments from six to eight, and appointed Anthony Carnovale, Christopher Sheehan, James Jackson, Louis Sapi, Margo Young, Michael Demczur, Nolan Bentley and Terrance Carter to the Committee.

Alder Recreation Centre pool liner – Council approved additional capital funding to complete the expansion of the six-lane 25-metre lap pool to eight lanes and replacement of the leisure pool liner at the Alder Recreation Centre. The lap pool will have a full stainless-steel liner, and the leisure pool liner will be comprised of stainless-steel sides and a PVC (vinyl) floor. The leisure pool will also have new spray pad features. The total cost of the project will be $4,600,534. A funding request has been submitted to the Federal Government to support the pool project as well as other related capital equipment upgrades under the Green and Inclusive Community Building Program (GICB) and if successful, would help eliminate or partially offset the overall cost increase of the project.

Royal Canadian Legion monument – Council approved a project by the Royal Canadian Legion to construct a new stone monument on Town property at Greenwood Cemetery. Town staff will oversee the construction. Staff will report back to Council with information pertaining to plans for acknowledgement of private donors to the project.
