COVID-19 Emergency Order lifted – The Town declared an emergency on March 20, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, following the provincial declaration three days earlier. Council directed Town staff to issue a press release to advise of the lifting of the Emergency Order, effective March 1, 2022.

Provincial funding for storm and wastewater infrastructure – After receiving a report on provincial funding for storm and wastewater infrastructure, a by-law was passed authorizing the execution of a funding agreement with the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks for projects aimed at improving wastewater and stormwater discharges in Lake Ontario.

Support for Ukraine – Council passed a motion that the Ukrainian flag be flown at Town Hall to show support for the people of Ukraine.

Sale of ORDC – The sale of Orangeville Railway Development Corporation lands in downtown Brampton was completed on February 25, 2022, at a sale price of $24.25 million.
