Community Tax Clinic returns to the Mill Street Library

Income tax season can be a stressful time, often feeling complicated and even at times expensive to complete.

With that in mind, the Orangeville Public Library is hosting the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program for members of the community throughout April and March. These clinics are offered with support from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

The Town of Orangeville is putting its love for the community on display.

From now until March 17, residents and tourists are invited to visit downtown Orangeville and find the big, bright LOVE sign in front of Town Hall. A visit to the sign is not only a fun and interactive photo opportunity. The Orangeville Public Library is ready to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of the Mill Street Branch. The branch officially re-opened in November 2023, following several renovations, which included an upgrade of the internal elevator system.

Town of Orangeville Receives $250,000 from Rotary Club for Rotary Park Redevelopment Project

The Rotary Club of Orangeville (RCO) has committed to donating $250,000 to the redevelopment of Rotary Park, a Town of Orangeville project slated to begin this spring.

The Rotary Park project, approved by Orangeville Council in June of 2022, is planned over six phases (pending budget):

  • Watermain Work
  • Play Structure
  • Tennis and Pickle Ball Courts
  • Parking Lot and Artificial Skating Loop
  • Sports Fields (baseball and soccer)
  • Club House

On December 4 and 5, Orangeville Council met to review the proposed 2024 Budget, as tabled on November 27. After deliberation of the documents, the budget was unanimously passed, resulting in a 4.5 per cent net levy increase, which equates to $145 annually for the average property owner.
