Transmetro and Aldenhill Subdivision Applications – Brandon Ward, Manager of Planning, outlined the applications submitted by Transmetro Properties Limited, Aldenhill Developments Limited and Edgewood Valley Developments Limited c/o Hughes Management. These are applications for two plans of subdivision with related Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments. The proposed subdivisions are in the vicinity of Blind Line and Hansen Boulevard.

Councillor Grant Peters, Chair of Sustainable Orangeville, presented Gary Skinn with the 2020 Environmental Sustainability Award. Proposed Pet Shop By-law Amendment - Orangeville Council held a meeting October 5 to permit public input into a proposed pet shop by-law amendment. The proposed by-law amendment proposes to permit pet shops within the Town to only sell dogs or cats that have been obtained from a municipal animal shelter, registered humane society, registered shelter or recognized animal rescue group. Funds for Blues and Jazz Festival – Council agreed to provide $13,125 from the $100,000 allocated for COVID-19 funding requests to assist the Blues and Jazz Festival. Representatives of the festival had asked that Council maintain the $17,500 Community Grant Program Funding for 2020.
