Orangeville hosting virtual town hall to discuss tourism strategy

Residents are invited to attend a virtual information session and join the conversation about the future of tourism in Orangeville.  Continuing its work of developing a five-year Tourism Strategy & Action Plan, the Town of Orangeville will host a virtual public information session on July 7, 2020 from 7-8:30 p.m. for all residents interested in learning more about the project.

The three-phased project, which follows the findings of the 2018 Orangeville Economic Development Strategy identifying tourism as a sector of focus for future growth in the region, is being facilitated by consulting firm Bannikin Travel & Tourism over the next eight months. The strategy will incorporate COVID-19 recovery measures as part of a framework for the Town’s short- and long-term economic development.

All residents of Orangeville are encouraged to attend to learn more about the project and its next steps, as well as how the Tourism Strategy & Action Plan is expected to evolve. Community input is essential to the success of the project, and attendees will be invited to share their own ideas and insights regarding the development of the Orangeville’s tourism sector.

Those interested in attending can click here to register. After signing up, participants will receive a confirmation email containing more information about how to join the virtual meeting.
