March Break fun at the library

The Orangeville Public Library has a great line-up of programs to entertain and amaze during March Break. The week will feature a variety of fun activities for the entire family.

From Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 17, the library will offer live ticketed entertainment shows in the morning and a free drop-in library program each afternoon at various locations.

Tickets for the morning shows cost $3 per person or three shows for $8. They are available at either branch of the library or at the door (cash only) on the day of the event. The shows start at 10:30 a.m. and will take place at École élémentaire des Quatres-Rivières, 60 Century Drive, Orangeville.

     Tuesday, March 14: Hands on Exotics Explore Africa Show

     Wednesday, March 15: Cozy Music starring Cosima Grunsky

     Thursday, March 16: DuffleBag Theatre presents The Three Little Pigs

     Friday, March 17: Abracadabra Magic Show with Steve Baker

The free afternoon drop-in programs start at 2 p.m. (please note the location)

     Monday, March 13: Calling All Artists - Creating with Plasticine at Mill St.

     Tuesday, March 14: Kids Knit (learn to knit with Orange thREADs) at Alder St.

     Wednesday, March 15: Zumba Kids at École élémentaire des Quatres-Rivières

     Thursday, March 16: Lego Brick Jam at Alder St.

     Friday, March 17: Freaky Friday at Mill St. - recommended for age 8 and up

Join us on Saturday, March 18 for our Family Movie Matinee at 2 p.m. Enjoy the 1991 animated version of Beauty and the Beast in the Mill Street meeting room. Please bring your own snacks to munch on during the movie.

To celebrate Canada’s 150 Birthday, the library also has a special Canada 150 Contest running throughout the month of March. To enter, tell us what you like best about Canada. Entries can be written, drawn or photographed. Each entry is a chance to win a prize so multiple entries can be made.
