A new way to #LoveOrangeville

The Town of Orangeville has created a fresh way to engage with visitors and residents and we are excited to share it with you.  

When we set out to develop a new tourism brand for the town, we asked people just like you – those who live here, work here, and visit our community - to share what you love most about Orangeville. The answer was clear – it’s not a single place, person or activity that makes Orangeville so special. Instead, it’s the collection of people, sights, sounds, and tastes that create unique moments and ensure that every experience – big or small – is one to remember.  

Your insights were the inspiration for our new tourism brand and your ideas helped us to pinpoint the features that contribute most to the authentic spirit of our town. Five common themes topped the lengthy list. Here is what we heard: 

Our history 

Orangeville has a backdrop grounded in tradition. Our historic buildings and landmarks offer a stunning setting for memorable experiences. Intricate details and decorative brickwork add character to our streetscapes. They also demonstrate the community’s genuine enthusiasm for maintaining a connection to its past. Stroll along Broadway to see what we mean and be sure to gaze up for the full effect.   

Our creativity 

Orangeville has a certain artistic flair.  Our local theatre company – Theatre Orangeville – is a creative force, never more apparent than now. Our diverse public art collection creates conversations and connections.  Artists of every kind can be found in studios, on sidewalks, on stages, and even on screens. The creative talent of our community is powerful and delightful, all at once.   

Our food 

We heard it loud and clear. Orangeville is a small town with big taste. Our community offers a truly one-of-a-kind culinary experience thanks to our impressive collection of locally owned restaurants, cafes, pubs, bakeries, and food shops. Maybe it’s the fresh ingredients sourced from nearby farms or the thought and care added to every delicious dish. Either way, our food is first-rate and the temptation is real.  

Our landscapes 

There is no shortage of scenic views in and around Orangeville and so many ways to get out there and enjoy them all. Whether it’s a family bike ride along one of our trails, a peaceful paddle around Island Lake, or an adventurous hike along the Niagara Escarpment, it’s easy to enjoy the outdoors in Orangeville. 

Our people 

Best of all, at the heart of every experience in Orangeville is our people. Each moment is crafted and infused with the welcoming spirit of those who call this town home. They share the stories of our community with pride and enthusiasm while inviting you to discover it for yourself. Our entrepreneurs, chefs, baristas, bartenders, bakers, makers, artists, and creators are all the number one reason you love Orangeville. We couldn’t agree more.
