#OBJF2026 Photo Contest

Orangeville's award-winning Blues and Jazz Festival returns from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7 with a full weekend of live music and entertainment! An incredible lineup of Canadian artists and local bands will perform on multiple stages throughout the festival. Vintage cars, motorcycle displays, and a full schedule of special events will add to the excitement. The Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival truly unites the community while inviting visitors to experience our vibrant downtown.  

Contest  

There are so many amazing experiences at the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival, and the #OBJF2026 photo contest is your chance to capture it all. Photographers of all skill levels can enter for a chance to win one of three $100 gift cards to a local and independently owned Orangeville business.  

How to Enter 

Bring your camera, whether it’s a phone or professional equipment, to #OBJF2026 and take some photos of your favourite festival moments. 

Submit up to five of your best photos through the online form by Sunday, June 14, at 11:59 p.m. 

Selected finalists will be notified by email on Monday, June 15. Up to twelve (12) finalists will proceed to public online voting held on Orangeville Tourism’s Instagram. Voting will take place from Tuesday, June 16 to Thursday, June 18. 

By entering this contest and submitting photo(s) through the online form, the participant provides permission for the Town of Orangeville and the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival to use the photo for promotional purposes.

Contest Duration and Timing 

Online photo submissions open: Friday, June 5, at 10 a.m. 

Online photo submissions close: Sunday, June 14, at 11:59 p.m.  

Voting period: 

  • First round: Tuesday, June 16, at 12 p.m.  
  • Second round: Wednesday, June 17, at 12 p.m.
  • Final round: Thursday, June 18 at 12, p.m.
  • Winner announced: Friday, June 19, at 3 p.m. 

The winners of the first and second round of voting on June 16 and 17 will partake in the final round of voting on June 18 where the voting results will determine the first, second, and third place winners.  

The three winners will be announced Friday June 19, on Orangeville Tourism's Instagram and contacted individually via email. Each winner will select a $100 gift card to their favourite local, independently owned business in Orangeville. 

 Note that voting timelines may change depending on the final number of photo submissions. All times are Eastern Standard Time (EST).  

Eligibility  

The contest is not open to employees of the Town of Orangeville. Entrants must be a legal resident of, and the age of majority in, the province of Ontario at the time they enter the contest. To be eligible to enter the contest, participants must complete the online photo submission form. 

Photos must be free of watermark and a minimum of 1MB and a maximum of 5MB. 

Participants who do not complete the steps for entry will be deemed ineligible.

The Prize and Prize Claim Conditions  

There are three (3) prizes available to be won. Each prize will consist of one (1) $100 gift card to an Orangeville independent business of the winner’s choice. 

The Town of Orangeville and its associates make no express or implied warranties or conditions of any kind with respect to the prize.  

Retail value of each prize will be in Canadian dollars.

Each entrant shall be eligible to win only one prize. The odds of being selected as a potential winner are dependent upon internal selection, public voting, and the number of eligible entries.   

The prize must be accepted as granted and cannot be converted to cash. The prize cannot be exchanged for another prize except at the sole discretion of the Town of Orangeville. The prize cannot be sold or transferred to any other person. Refusal to accept the prize absolves the Town of Orangeville of any and all obligations relative to said prize and any and all obligations towards the selected participant.   

Additional Conditions 

All costs not specifically stated as being part of the prize will be at the sole expense of the winners. 

Any offensive, sexist, obscene, profane, racist, vulgar, or harassing comments or images will be removed and the entry will be disqualified.  

The winners' names will be posted on Orangeville Tourism's Facebook and Instagram. 

This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. By participating in this contest, participants agree to a complete release of Facebook and Instagram from any claims.   

Entrants acknowledge compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements and agree to be bound by the decisions of the Town of Orangeville, made in their sole discretion, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the contest. Entrants who have not complied with these official rules are subject to disqualification.
