Family Literacy Day
Foster a love of literacy on Family Literacy Day with engaging activities at the Mill Street Library. We have planned lots of fun for the whole family including a special performance by children’s entertainer and educator Joseph Vetro from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., a visit from our favourite therapy dogs from 12:30 to 2 p.m., science and tech stations, art, reading and more! Drop in between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. All ages welcome.
Family Literacy Day is a national awareness initiative created by ABC Life Literacy Canada in 1999 to raise awareness of the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family.
