Volunteers required for Public Library Board and Police Services Board
The Town of Orangeville is seeking volunteers to fill vacancies on the following committees:
Public Library Board (5 public appointments)
The Orangeville Public Library Board meets a minimum of 10 times per year. It is a governing board with the authority to provide policy direction with respect to the operation of the library. Meetings are currently held at the Orangeville Public Library, 1 Mill Street, at 5 p.m. once per month except July and August.
The Public Libraries Act provides that a person qualified to be appointed as a member of the Board must be:
- At least eighteen (18) years old
- A Canadian citizen
- A resident of Orangeville
Police Services Board (1 public appointment)
The Orangeville Police Services Board meets monthly to provide policy direction with respect to the operation of the Orangeville Police Service. Meetings are currently held at the Orangeville Police Station, 390 C Line, at noon once per month.
