The Town of Orangeville is currently seeking nominations for the annual Arts and Culture Awards. Since 2010, the awards have recognized businesses, organizations and individuals who have contributed to arts and culture in Orangeville.  Arts and culture can include visual, music, dance, film, theatre, or written mediums, but also embraces culinary arts, parades, festivals and community events, design, and much more.

Eight award categories are open to residents of the County of Dufferin. An online nomination form is available at www.orangeville.ca or at Customer Service at Town Hall. The deadline for submissions is Monday, August 27 at 4 p.m. Nominees will also have an opportunity to provide judges with additional information by completing a form that will be supplied after the Town has received the nominations.

The awards are presented at Celebration of the Arts, an evening reception that will kick off Culture Days in Orangeville on Thursday, September 27.  Culture Days is a Canada-wide annual celebration, created in recognition that a vibrant arts and cultural sector contributes directly to a healthy and stable society.  From September 28 to 30, Canadians will participate in free activities and performances hosted by artists, cultural organizations, and municipalities.

Help the community recognize and celebrate arts and culture in Orangeville by completing your nomination today.
