An administrative, cultural and social centre, the Orangeville Town Hall is also a reminder of our heritage. Built in 1875, the building originally included a market on one side and Council Chambers on the other side. In former days, striking porches shaded the market area. Today, it's the centre of municipal government and the location of the Orangeville Opera House (on the upper level). The farmers' market still takes place in close proximity to it during the warmer months and inside during the winter.
