Crossing Guard

The Town of Orangeville regularly looks for highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join the Town for the casual position of Crossing Guard.  Interested individuals are invited to submit an application to be kept on file for the next round of hiring.

The main duty of this position is being observant of traffic, children, other pedestrians, weather conditions and other factors; safely stopping traffic to allow children and all other pedestrians to cross.  This position is situated in various locations throughout the Town of Orangeville, and preference is given to those candidates with access to a vehicle. Successful applicants will be required to work outside in various weather conditions, as well as stand for long periods of time. Hours of work for this position are initially offered on an as-needed basis, with no minimum hours guaranteed.

To obtain this position, successful candidates will be required to consent to a criminal record check.
