Parks Maintenance Students – Horticulture (2)

Contract dates: April 22, 2019 to September 3, 2019

The Community Services Department requires two (2) Parks Maintenance Students – Horticulture to assist in maintaining the Town’s landscape. This will include preparation and planting of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs; including but not limited to watering, pruning, fertilizing, cultivation, mulching, edging, and other duties as assigned. Normal hours of work for this position will be forty (40) hours per week. This position will require working various shifts, including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.

Students must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary horticultural education program.  This may include Horticultural Technician, Landscape Technician, Floral Design, Greenhouse Technician or similar field of studies.  A valid driver’s license and related previous experience are desired.
