The Parks and Recreation Department has an opening for the position of Casual Control Station Attendant. This position offers a maximum of 24 hours per week. The successful candidate must be available to work evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Flexibility and availability to work on an as-needed basis are essential.

The successful candidate must possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. They will also be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a customer service environment. Duties will include: clerical support, including data entry and other tasks as assigned; answering inquiries and providing information to the public; receiving money for rental and registration fees; data entry into the centralized booking and registration programs (CLASS and PerfectMind); balancing daily activity reports; preparing bank deposits; coordinating facility rentals and other duties as assigned; and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications include a secondary school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent, and demonstrated proficiency with all Microsoft Office database applications. Experience with data entry and proficiency using Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred. The candidate must be able to work well on their own initiative as well as part of a team. Familiarity with CLASS and PerfectMind is an asset. Preference will be given to applicants with customer service experience.
