Junior Instructor/Guard

Parks & Recreation Department

The successful candidates will perform lifeguard duties, provide instruction in aquatic programs, prepare lesson plans, maintain participant records, and perform general cleaning duties in the pool and surrounding areas.

The successful candidates must have valid Standard First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and/or National Lifeguard Award (NL) and/or current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification and/or Lifesaving Instructor/ Emergency First Aid Instructors.   Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in instructing and lifeguard duties. These positions are casual, with no minimum hours guaranteed. The successful candidates must be available to work days, evenings and weekends. Candidates are expected to work at both pool facilities. The anticipated start date of this position will be June 27, 2017.
