Remembrance Day Ceremony
Join the community at the cenotaph, along with the Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.
The Remembrance Day ceremony starts with a parade by Royal Canadian Legion Branch 233, from 7 John Street to Alexandra Park, escorted by the Orangeville Police Service. A moment’s silence follows at 11 a.m.
After the ceremony there will be an open house at the Legion. Refreshments will be served.
In order to accommodate the ceremony, the following road closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.:
- Second Street between Broadway and First Avenue
- First Avenue between Second Street and Third Street
- The parking spaces behind and beside Townhall will be reserved for the event

Alexandra Park is .75 acres and is located at Second Street and First Avenue. It was officially opened in August 1903 and was named after Queen Alexandra.
