100 Debates on the Environment

October 3, 2019, 7:00pm - 9:00pm | Community

Where do your candidates stand?

This is one of more than 100 debates on the Environment for the Federal election occurring across Canada on the same evening. There will be four questions asked of the local candidates, along with some questions specific to Dufferin-Caledon.

100 debates on the Environment has a simple mission: to make the environment an issue that no party and no candidate can ignore by organizing more than 100 inclusive, politically neutral, and environment-focused all-candidates debates in communities across Canada.

The debates will create a forum where voters can hear directly from candidates about their visions for the environment.

The project is made up of national non-profits, businesses, citizens' groups, high schools and universities, individuals and many others. The project is being co-ordinated by GreenPAC and Equiterre. The Dufferin-Caledon debate is sponsored by Climate Change Action Dufferin-Caledon, a non-partisan group working to mitigate climate change.
