A Confluence of Word and Sound - 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. - Facilitated by Gary Diggins

This interactive workshop will engage participants in creating improvised soundscapes as a compliment to recited poetry. Come prepared to listen, sound, and share.  Bring a poem!

The World is a Text: Introduction to Found Poetry - 11 a.m. to 12 noon - Facilitated by Steve McOrmond

Found poems are created using words and phrases borrowed from other texts. The art is the selection and arrangement of the words to surface new contexts and meanings. Participants will draft found poems based on provided non-literary texts, and will learn how to shape and transform these existing texts into something new.
