Moonlight Magic & Tractor Parade of Lights
Santa will be stopping in Downtown Orangeville during his pre-Christmas tour! Santa will light the Town Christmas tree during Moonlight Magic and the Tractor Parade of Lights on Friday, November 16. From 6-9 p.m. enjoy great family fun including David Nairn’s reading of the 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, musical and dance performances, the tree lighting, live street entertainment, Tractor Parade, great shopping, and of course, some one-on-one time with Santa! Sip on a hot chocolate while you stroll Broadway or pause to watch a performance or two, pop into Town Hall for free face painting and caricatures, and catch a ride on the horse-drawn buggy. Downtown merchants are anxious to show you the perks of local holiday shopping and their great gift ideas.
Come out and celebrate small town living and enjoy the charm of Moonlight Magic and the Tractor Parade of Lights -- Downtown Orangeville’s classic holiday tradition!

6:00 – 9:00 pm: Great Holiday Shopping
6:00 – 9:00 pm: Free Caricature Portraits & Face Painting, Inside Town Hall
6:00 – 6:20 pm: Light Show, Second St. & Broadway
6:20 – 6:35 pm: Academy of Performing Arts Dance Show, Second St. & Broadway
6:35 – 6:45 pm: Young Company Singers
6:45 – 6:55 pm: ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas Reading by David Nairn
7:00 – 7:15 pm: Tree Lighting Ceremony
7:15 – 7:30 pm: Orangeville Music Theatre performs in the Town Circle
7:15 – 8:00 pm: Strolling Light Show
7:15 – 8:00 pm: Visits with Santa beside Mortgage Architects
8:00 – 8:30 pm – Tractor Parade of Lights
8:30 – 9:00 pm – Light Show, Second St. & Broadway
In order to accommodate the parade, the following road closures will be in effect from 3 - 10 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018.
- The following sections of streets/lanes will be closed to vehicular traffic:
- Broadway from Wellington Street west to First Street.
- Second Street from Broadway to First Avenue.
- East side parking spaces between Broadway and Dairy Lane on First Street
- The following turning lanes will be closed:
- The left turn lane (southbound First Street to Broadway).
- Parking will be prohibited:
- On the above sections of streets/lanes for the duration of the road closures.
