Goals and objectives

The goals and objectives of the Cultural Plan Task Force are to:

  • provide the Economic Development and Culture office with support in the preparation, maintenance and implementation of the overall Cultural Plan as required on a project-by-project basis
  • support specific projects and initiatives that promote arts and cultural events and activity within the community and which help to fulfil the Cultural Plan
  • make recommendations to Council and propose programs for the enhancement of the community and the development of amenities related to the cultural environment in the Town of Orangeville
  • participate in, monitor and regularly evaluate all plans and policies which are expected to have an impact on the cultural life of the community
  • monitor the strategic directions in the Cultural Plan and advise Council on the progress of these objectives through an annual report
