June 2020 - Volume 11, Issue 2

Providing resources, programs, and support to help local businesses navigate COVID-19 was top priority beginning in March. Shop local initiatives were introduced by downtown Orangeville and the Digital Main Street program was announced. Data Cable celebrated 40 years in Orangeville and the development of a Tourism Strategy and Action Plan was initiated by the Town of Orangeville. 

January 2020 – Volume 11, Issue 1

October 2019 – Volume 10, Issue 4

The Digital Main Street Program is introduced for downtown business in Orangeville, Shelburne, and Grand Valley.  Sproule’s Emporium is featured along with information about Orangeville’s Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan.  Find details about upcoming SBEC workshops and the Orangeville & Area Job Fair, and other local initiatives to support businesses in our community.

June 2019 – Volume 10, Issue 3

Arts, culture and tourism initiatives are featured in this issue of Business Connections including a list of five ways to enjoy the outdoors in Orangeville this summer.  Discover the story behind Theatre Orangeville‘s production of A Midsummer Nights’ Dream and nominate a deserving recipient for an Arts & Culture Award.  The 2019 Summer Company participants are announced and a listing of this summer’s events is included.

March 2019 – Volume 10, Issue 2

Learn about Maggiolly Arts, an independently owned art supply store and studio located in downtown Orangeville.  The 2019 Call for Artists for the Utility Box Art Display Program is announced and the Orangeville & Area SBEC hosts Terry O’Reilly on May 14.  This issue also describes a new partnership with Commute Ontario as well as upcoming events and new business information.

January 2019 – Volume 10, Issue 1

This year’s first issue features E. Hofmann Plastics, a local manufacturer of rigid and flexible packaging for both the industrial market and the food and beverage industry.  A partnership with Ontario Centres of Excellence is also included.  Discover the wide selection of upcoming small business workshops that cover topics such as taxes, marketing, and opportunities in the food sector.
