Topsoil Removal Permits

Jan 10, 2019 | Public Works | Applications | General

A Topsoil Removal Permit is required to undertake earth works or grading of any property in the Town of Orangeville where the area is equal to or greater than 0.5 hectares (1.2 acres), with the exception of earth works being undertaken as part of an approved site plan or plan of subdivision.

No grading work is to be undertaken until a Topsoil Removal Permit has been issued. The Town wants to ensure that plans and financial securities are in place to ensure that run-off from the areas that have been disturbed does not cause an environmental problem in any ditches, streams and watercourses.
