Aboriginal Days and Indigenous People, Metis and Inuit History Month flag is held by representatives of the Town and indigenous people.

June 16 and 17, 2017 - Aboriginal Days
June 21, 2017 - National Aboriginal Day
June 2017 - Indegenous People, Metis and Inuit History Month

Whereas, National Aboriginal Day is a nation-wide time for all Canadians to recognize the unique heritage, the diverse cultures and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples; and

Whereas, Orangeville is a community where the contributions of all residents are acknowledged and appreciated; and

Whereas, Cultural diversity is a fundamental characteristic of Orangeville; and

Whereas, Orangeville is a community that celebrates its cultural diversity.

Now Therefore, I Jeremy D Williams, Mayor of Orangeville, do hereby proclaim June 16 and 17, 2017 as Aboriginal Days, June 21, 2017 as National Aboriginal Day and June 2017 as Indigenous People, Metis and Inuit History month.
