"As a young person, winning this award gave me a reminder to keep moving towards my future goals and do what I do best."
- Elisabeth DuBois, 2013 Young Student Artist
"Arts and culture are an important part of the quality of life in Orangeville and area, whether it is through the larger community events or many of the smaller events and groups that contribute to our enjoyment. Volunteers are an essential part of the success of such groups and events. The recognition of the work of volunteers through the Community Arts Volunteer Advocate award is an important reminder that we succeed as a community through the contributions of these dedicated volunteers and reflects well on not just the recipient but all of our volunteers to make the area a better place to work and live." - Gary Brown, 2014 Community Arts Volunteer Advocate
"The Dufferin County Museum & Archives was honoured to receive the Community Impact by an Organization award as it acknowledged the important work the DCMA does within the community to further the message and awareness of local arts, culture and heritage. It was a prestigious and much appreciated win for us, and was truly based on the excellent working partnerships the DMCA enjoys with a number of organizations in Orangeville and throughout the region."- Darrell Keenie, General Manager, Dufferin County Museum & Archives, 2013 Community Impact by an Organization
"Winning the inaugural Community Impact by a Business award was a big deal for Booklore. These awards are so important in recognizing the impact of arts and culture to a vibrant community as well as the role played in economic development." - Nancy Frater, Booklore, 2010 Community Impact by a Business
"Being recognized for my contribution to the Dufferin Youth Festival of the Arts over the years was a real honour. Whereas it has always been a pleasure for me to participate in this unique and wonderful celebration of the arts for youth in our community, it also felt very special to be recognized for the years of service. Kudos to the Town of Orangeville Council for recognizing the value of the arts to our community and for providing an opportunity for us to celebrate our collective achievements." - Marilyn Logan, Dufferin Youth Festival of the Arts, 2012 Creative Cultural Event
