Advisory Committees of Council
After each municipal election, Orangeville Council appoints citizens to various boards and advisory committees that make decisions/recommendations on a variety of matters. These appointments give Orangeville residents, from various backgrounds, a chance to volunteer their skills to help in the community.
The term of the appointment is usually four years (concurrent with the term of Council). Most advisory committees meet monthly. Each committee, at its first meeting, determines the schedule of meetings for the new term. A general application for committees can be found here.
