COVID-19 Relief Measures

Town of Orangeville relief measures 

  • waive all penalties and interest related to late payment of property taxes (on all tax classes) until September 30
  • waive penalties and interest on unpaid water and wastewater balances until September 30

Other relief measures

  • winter disconnect ban for electrical services has been extended until July 31, 2020; no late payment interest on incremental balances, and customers may request a flexible payment arrangement on arrears
  • Province will continue the suspension of time-of-use (TOU) electricity rates and, starting on June 1, 2020, customers will be billed based on a new fixed COVID-19 Recovery Rate of 12.8 cents per kilowatt hour through October 31.

Orangeville Transit

  • fees waived on Orangeville Transit effective March 23 to September 30; transit will continue to operate on regular schedule
