Snow Removal Policy
Snow removal is done in areas, when necessary, to keep streets safe for pedestrians and vehicular traffic. Snow will be removed from arterial and collector roads where there are inadequate snow storage areas on the boulevard and from local streets when snow banks are over 1.5m high.
Residents are reminded that there is a municipal by-law is in place that prohibits the parking of vehicles on municipal streets from December 1st to March 31st of the following year. The prohibition is in place between the hours of 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. to help facilitate effective snowplowing and snow removal operations.
Garbage and recycling materials that are set out for collection should be placed on the driveway about one metre from the street and not on the snowbanks to assist snowplowing and waste collection crews.Town Hall
