Skating Programs, Schedules & Outside Rinks

The Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of skating programs for all age groups, such as shinny hockey, youth skate, adult recreational hockey, just to name a few.

If you love the outdoors and enjoy the fresh air, then the Town's outdoor ice rinks are the perfect place for you, your family and friends to get together for some fun. The Parks and Recreation Department operates three outdoor ice rinks from the beginning of January to the end of February, weather permitting. The following locations are lit for your enjoyment:

  • Idyllwilde Park, located at Fourth Street and Second Avenue
    - washrooms are NOT available for use
  • Princess of Wales Park, located at Saxon Street and Alder Street
    - there are NO washrooms at this location
  • Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre at 40 Fead Street, located at the back of the arena "A"
    - washrooms available inside Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre when open

Note that during holidays, regular skating schedules will change. The schedules will be posted closer to the holiday.
