Mayor's Message

Welcome to the Town of Orangeville!

As you browse through our new website you will be impressed as to how much information you will find at your fingertips.  Our goal is to make the government of the Town of Orangeville transparent and accessible.  Whether you are a resident or visitor, you will find information readily available to assist you.

Orangeville, named after pioneer citizen, Orange Lawrence, was first incorporated in 1863.  Located at the headwaters of the Credit River system and surrounded by the scenic Hockley Valley and Caledon Hills, Orangeville has the unique advantage of fronting on a large reservoir known as Island Lake and the adjacent conservation area.  Noted for its many tree-lined streets, historical buildings and homes, Orangeville is extremely rich in culture.   We boast a variety of restaurants, a restored Opera House and ample shopping in our historic downtown or at any of our strip malls or indoor mall -- they are all here for your pleasure and enjoyment.  One of the fastest growing municipalities in the Province of Ontario, and being home to approximately 28,000 residents, Orangeville has been able to keep its small town charm while offering services of a larger centre.

Orangeville is definitely a place to visit and discover.  If you are thinking of moving here or planning a visit, you will like what we have to offer.

Welcome to Orangeville...there is so much to see, do, and learn about our unique and vibrant community.

Rob Adams,
Mayor, Town of Orangeville
