Children and Youth Programs

P.A. Day Camps - Ages 5 to 13
Join us for a full day of in motion activities, games, crafts and sports. Camp is offered to school-aged children 5 to 13 years. Camp will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with early/late drop-off times available from 8 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 5 p.m. for an additional charge. The campers will go swimming and skating (pending swim/skate schedules) at each camp. Bring your bathing suits and skates along, as well as your lunch, snacks and outdoor clothing.

After-School Programs - Ages 5 to 13
Register by the week or by the day! Provide your children with positive structured activities during the critical hours after school to help build a stronger and safer community.  A volunteer will walk your child or travel on public transit from school to Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre to ensure they arrive safely.  Activities include homework help, outdoor games, board games, art, improv, dance, friendship building, community partners special guests and the option of swimming lessons

Dates: Monday to Friday 3-6 p.m. Register by the week or by the day
Location: Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre.

Playball - Ages 2 to 6
Playball is a progressive sports coaching program that encourages sport skills and teamwork in a fun and energetic environment. Children will learn and develop fine motor co-ordination; gross motor co-ordination; body balance; eye-foot co-ordination; and auditory processing.

  • Ages 4 1/2-5 1/2 years
    Wednesdays 7:15 - 8:15 p.m.

Monkeynastix - Ages 1 to 6
Monkeynastix is a unique movement education program for children aged 1 to 6, preparing them for life. Focusing on children's development and motor skills while building self-esteem, Monkeynastix is a non-competitive fitness program using patented equipment and qualified instructors. Children enjoy the Monkeynastix sessions to music and each child receives a t-shirt and cap throughout the year, daily handouts as well as an individual assessment and a year-end medal.

Wrestling - Ages 6 to 13
Triumph wrestling is a very comprehensive discipline sport, developing strength, stamina, flexibility, speed and mental awareness. It emphasizes fair play and team spirit.

  • Tiny Triumph (Ages 6-9 years)
    Thursdays 5:45-6:45 p.m.
  • Tween Triumph (Ages 10-13 years)
    Mondays 4:30-5:30 p.m..

Pottery Parties in the Hills - Ages 5 to 13
Create lasting memories through your very own one-of-a-kind pottery piece. A travelling ART studio, we supply all materials needed for the program. School age children spin the wheelm play with clay and paint ceramics.

Session Date: October 7 to October 28
Location: Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre

  • Ages 5-13 years
    Thursdays 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Infant Massage
Parents and/or caregivers can learn the proper technique to soothe fussy babies, reduce colic and encourage sleep in baby between the ages of 4 weeks to 7 months. Please bring a pillow.
