Storytelling Series - Travis Greenley

August 10, 2020, 1:15pm - 2:15pm | Orangeville Public Library | Library

Tune into our YouTube channel on Monday, August 10, at 1:15p.m. for our Virtual Storytelling Series featuring local author Travis Greenley

Join Travis as he shares his experience of working exclusively with female co-workers in the field of violence against women.  Travis will share the joys and frustrations of teaching social justice issues to students and how he has attempted to break the cycle of violence through education.

Travis has been a Youth Educator at Family Transition Place for over 13 years.  During that time (with the odd notable exception) Travis has been the only male employee at an agency dealing with the issue of violence against women.  This unique experience has allowed Travis the opportunity to gain new perspectives about issues that plague our culture.  He has used that perspective to travel around to local schools and educate youth about healthy and  unhealthy relationships.  Travis has visited with thousands of students over the past decade and now he’d like to spread his message to a new audience.
